Toca Life: City is another storytelling tool from Toca Boca, following on from the success of Toca Town, that covers kid's daily lives and inspires their imaginations. I'm not a big fan of these kinds of games, and I probably wouldn't take the initiative to choose a game like Toca Life: City. In fact, it really wasn't designed for adults. However, I have friends around me who are already parents and they will often bring the Toca Life series to me. According to them, it's the magic thing that quiets their kids. What's more, the kids even learned many daily knowledge and skills through the game. Although I don't have kids, my strong desire to explore the game drove me to buy this game.

Yes, as I said, this game is not free. You'll need to buy it for $3.99 and then be able to explore the game in its entirety, with no in-app purchases. I thought it would be like most educational apps, teaching kids how to cook, get dressed, or wash their face, etc. But that's not the case, here the kids are free. They come to a new city where everything can be created, and what kind of things to do and what kind of life to live depends on the consciousness of the kids. It looks amazing that kids are able to tell the stories they want to tell in the way they want to tell. There's also more to explore than I imagined, including 6 locations and 35 characters. Kids can change outfits, dye their hair any color and change hairstyles in Hair 3000!

In addition to customizing exclusive characters, kids can do anything they want, like take pets to school, buy crazy clothes or just hang out with friends in the food park. The food park has 7 different food stalls with sushi, burgers and the famous fish and chips. You can even write scripts and perform them in theaters. Have to say, the $3.99 is worth it. The game is free of ads and in-app purchases, and kids can play and create in a safe environment, which makes Toca Life: City even better. This is a qualified educational game for kids. If I have kids, I will undoubtedly let my kids try it. These seemingly daily interactions in the eyes of adults are useful guides for kids. I love Toca Boca's game concept and hope they make better apps!
